Detached: the Brampton default
Detached homes are well over half of Brampton sales (260 of 440 in August). Many have separate-entrance basements, which is why multi-generational families and investors favour them: a legal second unit can help carry the mortgage. The trade-off is the entry price and higher carrying costs.
Semi-detached: the value gap
